Using Tekkit, I've decided to create an all-purpose factory that will, essentially, create anything using Mass Fabricators. At this moment, I've only almost finished the nuclear power station which, I hope, is considered somewhat advanced. The factory will look much alike in how it's organized and such.

CURRENT STATUS: Building (Nuclear) Power Station

Nuclear Power Station

So, as of right now, the station has 4 separate sections: Control room, Reactor chamber, Battery system, Cooling system room. Each has there own purpose, of course. So, we're going to start with the control room: the plant's hub.

Control Room Section

So, the control room actually has a very complex set of computers and servers that control the whole plant. Thus, you can control anything, including security protocols, in that room. So, on to it then. Here's a few pics and a description of them after.

Control Room

IMG

Here's the control room. It features some very big screens. Basically, the smaller middle screen posts the overall status of the plant (Like: Inactive, Moderate, Critical, ect). And, the side screens show details of each reactor.(Like: temperature, individual status (Inactive, etc), amount of energy it's producing, if the the ice is getting there fast enough, etc). And the top screens include other status information. (Like, battery energy reserves, security system, etc).

Blast Doors

IMG

The room also features a blast door to close down the reactor chamber in-case of meltdown or high-temperature. The actual mechanics isn't as simple as you might think. If it were a 2 high window, it would be more convenient to simply use pistons. But, because it's 4 high, that wasn't possible. So, I had to resort to using RedPower's Frames. Here's a few pics of the system.

So, the concept is pretty simple. It's a simple act of pushing the glass upward to finally give way to reinforced stone. So, it basically gets pushed around upward and then backwards again.

Server Room

IMG

Here's the server room. Not much now because I haven't fully coded the system, yet. But, there is all of the computers. Not much to show, unfortunately.

The Reactor Chamber

Reactor chamber houses the nuclear reactor. It is a fully reinforced system and contains a few interesting features. (Will specify these features later on.) Like above, here's some pics:

Reactor Chamber

IMG

As you can see, it's walled with reinforced stone. So, the actual chamber has two layers of reinforced stone. And between the two layers, it has all of the tubing and wiring necessary to get this thing working. It has a soon-to-be functionality flood system that will flood the chamber to cool down the reactor in case of emergency or to minimize the damage of the blast (If worst comes the worst). Also, to minimize as much damage as possible, the lava gets pumped out when the reactor is at high temperatures and pumped back in after the temperature reaches tolerable levels. The pipes you see from the top are pipes that transport the reactor's main cooling system: the ice. Which gets pumped in at a pretty good pace. Each reactor has its own dedicated ice generator.

Sub-Level A

IMG

Here's a sub-level of the reactor chamber. This assembles all of the wires to convert the energy into Ultra-High Voltage (2048 EU). The cable then go to the next sub-level.

Sub-Level B

IMG

This is a pretty messy level. Basically, this changes all of the cable's positions to successfully and efficiently leave the section to go to the next section: Battery Section.

Battery Section

This section house all of the batteries and basic conversion system that convert the system from ultra-high voltage to a usable. high voltage. It splits the 16 incoming 2048 EU cables into 48 512 EU cables. Which is usually more then enough for the quarries and such.

Battery Rooms

IMGHere's the battery rooms. There's a total of 4 rooms with 4 battery packs each. Each room is for one reactor, each pack is for one incoming cable.

Sub-Level A

IMG

Here's sub-level A of the battery section. Not much here. This is to be able to properly change the incoming cable. Because, it's pretty hectic down at sub-level B with all the cables.

Sub-Level B

IMG

Here's sub-level B. Quite similar to the other sub-level B present in the reactor chamber. This receives the cables from said location.

Cooling System

The reactor's main cooling method is using ice. Which is very efficient if it gets produced and transferred quickly. Because, at the max reactor setup that I can use, it burns about 5 ice block per second. The max setup is 45 uranium cells with 9 stacks of ice blocks. This section has about 6 sub-sections.

Snow Generator

IMG

This section creates snow at a pretty alarming speed. The generators alone, which uses snow golems, puts out a snow ball each 200 MS at max-speed. The system sends the snow balls, via pipes, to the snow compressor room. Also, the other tubes are the coal loading tubes which loads the steam engines with coal. This system could also be adapted for oil if they were any in the world. (None because it's a 3rd party flatmap)

Compressor Room

IMG

This room takes the snow and compresses it into ice. After the ice gets sent into the chests for the next section: the exporter. This also features the coal loader for the steam engines.

Exporter

IMG

This section isn't completely done because, as you can see, the 4 lone tubes don't connect to anything (Still didn't connect it to the reactor chamber). But, anyways, this section does two things: it loads the engines with coal/load the compressors with snow and it takes the ice from above and sends them on their mary way towards the reactor chamber.

Pipe Fiesta Room

IMG

This section pretty much takes the pipes from the snow generator and sends them where they need to go. Like, for instance, the snow pipes go through here to get connected to the compressors and the pipes for the coal goes down to the next level.

Coal Loader

IMG

IMG

Both of these rooms loads the engines with coal. Though, it isn't completely finished because I don't have the factory built yet. So, the coal can't be transported from said factory. So, this section is to be modified. Though, the coal still gets taken from the chests.

Corridors and other stuff you shouldn't normally care much about

IMG

IMG

This corridor has a lot of features. It includes a... *Drom Roll* button to close the lights! (OMG) It has two buttons. One to close one half and other, to close the other half.

And, here we are. Finished! Please, feel free to give post some diamonds and, if your satisfied with the work, don't hesitate to give me a diamond ;). Anywho, good day.
