For their operation, you need to start the wind rotors (with the right mouse button), and then press the lever above the reverse gear.
There are three versions of the drill: Standard (with two arms), Quadruple (with four arms) and Rotary (with two arms and the ability to rotate).
An important part of their correct work is the right gluing. With improper gluing, the hinges can twist the entire building, and the drills can also get stuck in the shafts. An approximate gluing scheme is shown in the pictures.
All drills, except for the rotating one, are easily carried by one minecart.
When fully digging one drill to the bedrock, the approximate fullness of the chests will be 9-10/14 of all double chests. Most of these resources are blocks, but given how fast the drill digs, getting the right amount of minerals will not be difficult.
I made this project for the sake of getting acquainted with the Create mod, so I did not work on the design.
