I really like the "quick build challenge" style of competition but I noticed that you'll never have time to change the flooring of your build area. Always the perfectionist(ish) I decided to make a map for myself with four differently themed arenas plus premade dispensers for randomized building themes!
A quick build challenge is, in case you didn't know, a simple contest where two people in creative mode pick a random theme and then build something on that theme in under 20 minutes. You have access to all the blocks you need but you should not be flying, just like in normal survival.
Each arena has it's own set of suggestion builds ranging from very straight-forward to very vague and hard and each area has a card for those extra imaginative people out there.
I even gave suggestions in each book for the... less imaginative people.
If you want more challenge and variety when doing build offs I recommend the John Smith Legacy texture/resource pack.
