A real hard worker is a minibus manufactured by the Riga Bus Factory, since 1975 he has traveled through the vast expanses of the socialist bloc and worked in a variety of institutions. Already in 1977, the plant assembled the 10th anniversary RAF, and every year the number of vans assembled only increased, this was facilitated by the introduction of a new plant in Jelgava, Latvian SSR, designed to produce 17 thousand cars per year.
In the post-Soviet period, the RAF continued to produce buses and low-tonnage trucks for Russian needs. However, the start of production new GAZ minibus made the products of the RAF plant unclaimed. In 1997, the production of cars at RAF stopped. The plant declared bankruptcy in 1998
