Hello everyone!
I'm really sorry for the long delay. I've been unwell and work has been hectic recently, so I've had less time for Minecraft. I'm back now, though, with my final Swedish destroyer build, known in World of Warships as the "Ragnar". However, it's based on a real destroyer leader design from 1947, called Eskaderledare 4,660-Tonne Design I. An official blueprint is available online. Wargaming's version, as usual, has been heavily modified. In this case, the length was shortened dramatically, by 25 metres from the official length of 170 to 145 in-game. It retains the correct armament of the blueprint, albeit squashed a little and features just a single quad mounting of the 375mm Bofors ASW Rocket Launchers.
So, I've corrected some things. I've restored the original length, which mostly goes into the bow and stern, which are exceedingly long in the blueprint, and this allowed me to add two mountings of ASW Rocket Launchers. I've also changed the superstructure to reflect the blueprint, which called for only a single funnel. I added two more Bofors AA mounts to the stern and replaced all the 1947-era fittings with late 1950s fittings to better match the Halland-class, rather than the Öland-class, which is what Wargaming did.
Statistics are as follows:
Length = 170 Blocks (not including extremities)
Beam = 15 Blocks (ditto)
Draught = 4 Blocks
Primary Armament: 4 x 152mm/53 Bofors Model 1942 DP Guns [2 x 2]
Anti-Aircraft Armament: Ditto + 4 x 57mm/60 Bofors SAK Model 1950 Guns [2 x 2], 14 x 40mm/70 Bofors SAK-40/L70-350 Guns [14 x 1] (original design has 12)
ASW Armament: 12 x 375mm Bofors ASW Rocket Launchers [3 x 4]
No Torpedo Armament
This is one of my favourite builds to date, I hope you guys like it as much as I do :)
I'll see you on the next one!
