The "link" you gave wasn't a link, it was the place the file was loccated on your computer. You need to take that file and upload it to a file hosting website like mediafire.com
Also, you can update your projects so you don't have to re-upload them. Just go to your project (while signed in) and click on the "update project" button above the project's title. From there you can change what you want with the description and pictures. Down near the bottom of this page you will see a box labeled "world download URL" put in your link there. (the one to mediafire or another website)
Also if you are making a continuous or 'work in progress' project you can use the "update log" tab to put the project back into the recent uploads on the main project page.(don't abuse this)
