This is a 6Bit Redpower Decoder. It can decode any combination of its 6Bit binary input into one of 64 exclusive outputs.

The decoder is located at on the third level. Every decoder "module" contains 6 "check units" those units check if the input represents their respective binary combination. The units consist of buffer and not gates. If the combination is correct the output is low (and inverted afterwards). If one single ore more bit/s is/are not right the output goes high (and after inversion off). Essentially they are big AND gates with their inputs reversed according to the combination.

The apparatus at the second level is a "Sorting Machine Data Storage Device". It works like this:
In the inventories connected to the sorting machines are wool blocks. The sorting machines are in "Column Processing Mode". Every column has 5 slots. Every Row slot in the sorting machine represents one bit in a 6bit set. The top left most in sorting machine 1 is bit 1 of column-set 1 of column 1. The top left most in sorting machine 2 is bit 2 of column-set 1 of column 1 and so on. There are 8 columns. Therefore one of those apparatuses can store 40 numbers. When activated a clock pulses the sorting machines. For every pulse they output a set of different colored wool into the pipes. Then the item detectors check if their bit is true or false. If there was white wool in the set the first detector will light up. If purple the second will light up and so on.

I planed to build a Opera on top and load the RedPower Sorting Machines with a combination that would trigger note-blocks at the top layer but I lost motivation.
