Redstone Crypto Market:
Hello! I have finished my second big redstone project, my crypto market. This was inspired by Mumbo Jumbo's Hermitcoin project. I am obviously not as good as Sir Jumbo, however this is my attempt in creating an version I can understand, and I hope others can as well.
To use this machine, you must understand how to buying/selling relate to each other. In short, when you buy the coin, the price goes up as demand is higher, and when you sell it, the price goes down as the demand is lower. I accomplished this by creating what I am calling the "brain" (aka a series of lamps and comparators) which keeps track of who sells what and links both the buying and selling systems together. You can find this system by following the redstone lamps as they link to it.
Here is the organizational chart I used during the building process, sorry if it confusing. In the chart, you will see things referenced to as "alt coin". Alt coin are the coins you buy with the "standard coins" and which are worth more. This was used so I could use single item tracking in the selling system.
(X=No money returned)
5 10 18 25 <- Alt coins
4 9 16 24 <- Level 1 prices
X 1 2 3 <- Level 2 prices
X X 1 2 <- Level 3 prices
X X X 1 <- Level 4 prices
If you have any questions, leave a comment here or reach out to me on discord at jaron_the_great. Have fun, and give credit if using!
