This has probably been done before and there's probably a better way to do this, but I'm quite pleased. This build makes use of an interesting mechanic where noteblocks don't sound when a piston is touching them. I simply have the noteblocks running on a repeater clock and you can extend or retract the pistons with levers to make the instruments play whenever you want.
This can be expanded really easily this is just the most basic version.
