You first need to set the levers to the correct position so one of the repeaters powering it is deactivated.
Then press the buttons after which you press the reset button and then have the door power button activated as the second repeater deactivates. This will lock the door opened.
There is a reason it says press to test/reset: it resets the button part and give the output if correct.

also on level 5 it is impossible because the redstone tortch on it has been (with the bottons) to reset it it has been hitting the block and sending a redstone output to the redstone
