Introducing RMS Queen Elizabeth 2 in Minecraft!
This is a 1:1 build of the Cunard liner RMS Queen Elizabeth 2! This build features her spacious lounges, dining rooms, and popular venues.

A few things to know about this build:
1) I recommend you use the Natural Texture Pack for full immersion.

2) I build in 1:1 scale, but building in this scale comes with limitations. Some areas may be distorted or compromised due to scale and sizing when building in 1:1. Compromises have to be made in order to complete the build. Some areas may not resemble the actual ship and in those circumstances, I have to fictionalize some aspects about the build to "balance out" the build or to allow player interaction. I fully recognize 1:1 is not a perfect scale to build in but I personally find 1:1 to be the sweet spot for me.

3) I don't build cabins, engine rooms, or crew spaces. The reason is there is little to no information on what some of these spaces actually looked like, so I'd rather not spend the time to build something that I don't have information on. There is dead space on my builds because I primarily focus on class accommodations (Lounges, Dining Rooms, etc) and tend to focus less on passenger corridors, cabins, crew spaces, etc. I apologize in advance if you expect a full build with no dead space.

Short history of RMS Queen Elizabeth 2
Queen Elizabeth 2, often referred to as QE2, was a British ocean liner operated by the Cunard Line. The ship was ordered in 1964 and built by John Brown and Company in Clydebank, Scotland. She was launched on 20 September 1967 by Queen Elizabeth II and made her maiden voyage on 2 May 1969. Designed for the transatlantic service from her home port of Southampton, UK, to New York, United States, QE2 served as the flagship of the line from 1969 until succeeded by Queen Mary 2 in 2004. She was designed in Cunard’s offices in Liverpool and Southampton. In 1986–87, QE2 was refitted with a modern diesel power plant. She undertook regular world cruises during almost 40 years of service, and later operated predominantly as a cruise ship, sailing out of Southampton, England. In 2004, Cunard’s transatlantic route was transferred to the new Queen Mary 2, though once a year QE2 still undertook a world cruise. A year later, QE2 became the longest-serving Cunard vessel. In 2007, the Cunard company was sold to a Dubai investment company who took possession of Queen Elizabeth 2. She performed her last transatlantic voyage with Queen Mary 2 from New York to Southampton in 2008. Since April 18, 2018, she has been operating as a floating hotel in Dubai.
