This map was for over a year my primary creative building world. It was made in Education Edition because I am a school student, however I have changed schools now and no longer have access to Education Edition so this world is dead, I might at some point move the map to Bedrock mode but can't really be bothered as I played this before I got Java Edition. Anyway it is a bit of the way complete although will sort of need a bit more work on some things. There is a completed domus, a mostly completed villa, a half completed insula and another villa that is like 1% done.
Sadly there is next to no plugins for Edu so every single block has been placed by hand. The only time commands were used was to create a great big floating platform in the sky.
A bit about the builds.
-------------------------------------------------------
The First Villa
This villa is also a little bit like a domus with little windows to the outside. This villa is inspired by the Villa De Papyri in Herculaneum near Pompey and the Getty Villa. Aside from having rooms around the ground peristyle it is all accurate to the actual villa, of course the second floor as always with roman stuff is just speculation. My brother did help me out a little bit on this but most of it was me.
-------------------------------------------------------
The Second Villa
This villa is vaguelly related to the a villa at Pompey but is just 50x the size of an actual villa. It has hundreds of rooms tens of thousands of blocks and more. Although currently I am just planning out what is going to happen with signs and stuff.
-------------------------------------------------------
The Domus
This domus was built my brother and I somewhat following Andyisyoda's tutorial on a roman domus, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zk3z06f_a0s. Our domus though is somewhat larger and well a bit less realistic. This was my first Roman build and when I look back at it now I notice that is had a few flaws that make me cringe.
-------------------------------------------------------
The Insula
This insula was built by me and is halfway done structurally but still needs to be furnished. It is based on a pretty standardised Roman Insula but I made it a bit too long so I just decided to add a second courtyard to make it look a bit better than having one super long one. I think it came out pretty well.
