My first ever build submission on PMC! This is a Romano-Celtic Temple I just finished building. I based it upon the reconstruction of the Roman-Celtic temple at the Martberg Archeological Park in Pommern, Germany. Not a 100% accurate recreation, but it's pretty close.
These types of temples were usually originally Celtic Pagan sites that were just open-air stone altar or sacred well, that were converted by the Romans into closed-in temples like this one. These Romanized religious sites would be home a Romano-Celtic Deity pair, such as Sulis Minerva, a combination of the Celtic Goddess Sulis and the Roman Goddess Minerva.
There was usually a central Cella, or rather the interior area of the temple, surrounded by a ambulatory - a covered walkway of sorts. These types of temples were essentially a simplified, shrunken down version of a regular classical Roman temple. These temples appeared anywhere between the 1st-4th Century AD and were quite common in Roman Britain.
