This is the A Block of Ice and Fire's version of Rook's Hill, a non-canonical holdfast located in The North.


Rook's Hill is a Farming Village on the banks of the Weeping Water, deep on Bolton Lands, and approximately a days walk from the Dreadfort, the seat of House Bolton. Due to this the lord of Rook's Hill has close ties with the Boltons, and are some of their most loyal bannermen, guarding over the road approaching the Dreadfort from House Overton and the Hornwood.



Rook's Hill acquired its name, as it is one of the few holdfasts to boast a Rookery, and so was, and still is, of importance for relaying messages to the Dreadfort and other castles in the area. It proved especially important during the Red Kings rebellions against the Starks around 1000 years ago, as it was able to warn the Dreadfort of impending Stark assaults, which ultimately led to the defeat of the Boltons, and the end of the Red Kings.

While there is no download available for this project. It is part of a larger project, which seeks to create the mythical lands of Ice and fire, Westeros, a fictional land created by George R R Martin for his book series A Song of Ice and Fire, and adapted by HBO, into the critically acclaimed hit TV show, Game of Thrones.

Rooks Hill can be seen from A Block of Ice and Fire's dynmap , or from joining the server, which you can find information about on our website or our discord server. You will have to download the A Block of Ice and Fire modpack before attempting to join though.
