I am working on a server and they needed a pit for fighting with a ruined theme, so I came up with this!
Roof is like an abandoned temple, pit is for fighting and park-our to get out. Players will be spawned into bottom and can either choose to fight to the death, or they can try to escape while being attacked from enemies.

Additional Notes
I used lava, and glowstone surrounded by leaves for lighting. That gave it the abandoned look I was going for.More like this
