How to install Minecraft Maps on Java Edition

A whole city I'm slowly planning. I do plan to build this legit on a server, but so I don't waste resources, I'll be planning it here.

I'll be using the texture pack SMP's Revival Texture Pack to plan this out. However, I will be switching back and forth between that and default for those who don't use texture packs; just to make sure it looks good from all perspectives.
