Ey guys,

Im finally back with a build, or more precisely a terraform ^^
The map is 2560 by 2560 blocks, with all kinds of custom trees I made especially for this kind of terrain, the island is inspired by the iron islands from the tv show game of thrones, which are a group of rather rocky islands.

Ive had great fun making this and learned a lot from it, as it was ages ago that I last terraformed on this scale, either way, I hope you enjoy it or even got some inspiration from it to go terraforming yourself.

If you liked it, or know a point I could improve on, please leave a comment as I love reading them, thanks for dropping by & have a nice day :)

EDIT: The download is up, so now you guys can check it out yourselves and survival / build on it if you would like to :P

Thanks to Ajoyboy for the suggestion

I can't really give a good opinion considering all your pictures had a bunch of fog.

Sometimes fog is a good thing. It can add a level of atmosphere that would be hard to achieve without it. In the same way a good shader can make Minecraft look beautiful through the use of sunlight, fog can give a forboding, moody feel.

Right. What I'm saying is he should have more pictures without that fog if he wants informed opinions on his work :)

Awesome. You are quite good! /i would suggest as rob said, though, try experimenting with the angles and other tools on the lower left hand side of worldpainter. It can make or break a paint ;)

Hey, congrats on being on the front page! I see you're kind of new to worldpainter, if you haven't figured out how to use degrees. Add me on skype, robarm2 and I'll show you how it works.

You yourself seem pretty new, bro. You might want to wait until you are a higher level of skill before you get into mentoring. Just my opinion.

Actually degrees is an option that will greatly increase his potential. If you looked at my page, you could notice I've been doing worldpainter for over a year and a half, so I was offering to show him a technique that was showed to me by superior worldpainters.

Okay, feel free to teach him some or whatever. I was just saying I don't think your terrain is at a level where you should be mentoring others, and that you could always direct him to your "superiors" who could give him some pro tips :)

Well my superiors are actually people who don't do things for free. I'm just offering to give him a free tutorial on a technique that was added a few months back. Its obvious he doesn't use it, and if he knew of it I'm 90% sure he would have used it in the project. Its not a bad thing though, I didn't know about it until just a few months after my first actual planetminecraft project. But anyway, why do you care? xD

Do you mean the fact that they charge makes them good, or that they would charge to mentor him?

Thank you for suggesting the technique, I had never heard of it before and I'll try to use it on my next terraform :)
