This is a project I started ages ago, in the time before I discovered this website and the many wonders of advanced minecraft building. I decided to finish it recently, after coming across it again.
The glass and wool are purely decorative, they are not essential to the structure. by this I mean that they can be replaced with torches or sand without the structure collapsing(not: this needs to be done using worldedit or similar, as removing the blocks altogether will collapse the structure.
I challenge ANYONE to create a structure entirely out of sand and gravel.
the rules of this challenge:
1: only solid blocks allowed for the structure are sand and gravel
2: other blocks allowed are water, lava, torches (normal and red), redstone, string, signs, the other non-solid blocks.
(the best definition is any block that requires another block to support it)
3: if you do want to use blocks for decoration, upload a picture of that part of the structure withour the decorative block, so I know it isn't essential to the structure.
4: if the sand blocks are floating (i.e I can let them fall by updating the blocks with light or water), they do not count. the same counts for blocks that cannot be aquired in normal creative mode. this mainly includes block 36.
5: submit ORIGINAL content: so don't use the work of a friend. if you created it with a group, enter it for the entire group.
(6): the structure MUST be better than mine, otherwise no price will be awarded.
PRIZES:

- This same link will be in my forum sig for 6 months
- I will be making a creative server on this topic, the winner will get an admin position. this server will be up before the end of 2013.
Additional Notes
I intend to do a tutorial on this subject soon, so stay tuned.More like this

Have something to say?
But I wonder something on the pictures I see glass planes with on top sand, it seems essential to the structure but is that not forbidden according to rule 1? And what about the wool on the entrance site?
p.s. nice building
