Merchants from all corners of the world meet here to trade and make whatever amount of money they can. It serves as a meeting-place for the Earth Kingdom's booming black market economy and, as such, most people who reside there are notorious con artists. The pier offers a varied selection of goods, ranging from simple food, to illegal contraband. The seedy merchants pier welcomes all nations, so long as they have an inclination for a bargain, and don't seek trouble.
This is a location from the show "Avatar: The Last Airbender"
It was nearly destroyed by Aang and the gang in book 1: Water, Episode 9 "The Waterbending Scroll"
