you still extract it, just the same, and then you want to put it in your minecraft world save folder, which would be located in your minecraft files. I would explain how to get there, but I am not fimiliar with windows 8, however, in windows 7, you went into run and typed "%appdata% and you could access it from there, hope this helps :)
