The Shioh Shogunate map is a Japanese-inspired world filled with a large variety of lush biomes located in Japan.
The Shioh Shogunate started off as a quick template creative world using the Terralith data pack a year ago to build a house from a tutorial video made by the Japanese architect, @Freedom_minecraft. I got very invested in his tutorial videos and continued to build more and more until I went through the last of his videos. It was at that moment I started to build houses myself using his style.
I am a huge consumer of oriental culture, mythology, and history. And Japan is by far my favorite of the cultures I've explored. I’m an illustrator attending uni currently working on a long-term graphic novel based on Akira Kurosawa’s 1954 Seven Samurai. In fact, this world is often used as a reference tool for setting up scenes and perspectives.
This world is a non-profit, passion project that I continue to work on for as long as id like. If you’ve gotten this far, please check out the non-associated creators below that have provided me with textures, schematics, and building references.
This world includes
-4 Different factions with their own distinct castles and fortifications.
-2 Major cities.
-Dozens of villages
-Shinto Shrines and Hot Springs scattered across the island.
-Three hidden pathways to Yomi
-Several biome variations and landmarks with modified grass/leaves color (No mods).
I put in hundreds of hours of work not just in the game but in other programs to make this world what it is.
Please be sure to download the Resource Pack I use personally to view this world in its intended vision. The resource pack includes changes such as desaturated hay, red crimson wooden blocks, darker spruce wooden blocks, pampa grass lilac, customized paintings, brown acacia trapdoors(important), weapon and armor changes, and many more! Important noting that this resource pack is NOT a fully original texture pack, it is simply the texture pack I used while making this world, it contains item and block textures made by multiple different creators who posted their work on this site. I do not take credit for their work.

This project is now 2 years old!
Was going to wait for Optifine 1.20.4 to come out but its been way too long. Do recommend using Optifine with the texture pack to make most of it's features.
I have an overwhelming update to the world and the texture pack, so much I don't think I can list it all here, not now.
World Updates:
-Removed the Terralith Datapack and replaced it with my own.
-Added a new main castle for the Shogun in the main capitol, it is one of the largest buildings Ive ever made and it is completely filled with detailed interiors.
-Vastly increased the size of Mt Discount Fuji. Doing so I set the world height to around 400.
-The "Red" faction up north has been replaced with a "Yellow" faction.
-Red faction been relocated to the far northern maple tree mountains, as seen in gallery.
-An abandoned snowed in Inn that has been haunted by Yuki Onna
-A new section to the island located in the far southern-west.
-Snow region reworked.
-Hundreds of interiors added/renovated interiors.
-New Villages
-A micro city in the north.
-The cave entrance in the quarry is much more detailed, which includes:
-A Jorogumo Nest
-An abandoned library
-A dark maze haunted by an Ozato (Warden).
-New trees and vegetations (More reasons to use the texture pack)
-A lot of polishing.
Texture Pack Updates:
-Ive added so much I don' t think I could list everything but here's the important stuff.
Block Updates:
-Dark Oak is now Dark Cedar
-Spruce is now Black Pine
-Cherry is now Sakura
-Jungle is now Stone Oak
-Acacia is now Zelkova
-Warped Wood is now Weeping WIllow Wood.
-Crimson Wood is now Bloodgood Maple Wood.
-All Doors are now Sliding Shoji.
-Leaves are much more detailed and realistic.
-All furnaces updated.
-Blast furnaces are now Tatara Furnaces
-Lantenrs are now paper lanterns with various different models and textures.
-All glass related blocks are now Shoji panels.
-Beacons are now a Shrine to the Shinto Sun Goddess.
-Endstone are now more thatched roof related.
-Bamboo are much more detailed and change colors depending on biome (Optifine required)
-Peonys are now Chinese Silver Grass
-Tnt are now Black powder kegs
-Mosiac Bamboo slabs are now also Tatami mats faced in the vertical direction (Counter to the horizontal tatami mats made with birch slabs)
-All quartz blocks have been updated to fit he Japanese paper wall aesthetic using the advanced technology of Optifine CTM.
-Entire Nether Region is Yomi themed.
-Flowers have been revamped.
-Pumpkins are now Green.
-New Cake
-Better Torches
-Shulker Box textures have been revamped.
-All saplings have been revamped to be more bonsai like.
-Slight changes to paintings
-Credited the artists of the paintings, some done by me and some done by Woodblock artists from the Edo era.
