Play on the new Skyblock map for 1.6.2, Skyblock REDSTONE. Go about on your normal ordinary skyblock adventure with 50+ challenges, ores, more islands, and lots of REDSTONE! All of the challenges are optional and are added to make the game more fun. This game can be played with 1-3 players. This minigame would make a great 'let's play' and a fun map to play on in general. The use of command blocks is used a lot throughout the game.

PLEASE READ THIS

If you have downloaded the map, you probably can't set command blocks in survival mode. So just go to creative mode and SET the command there. Be sure to switch back to survival when you're finished editing the command block. This encourages players to not use commands every second so they don't waste time fiddling with the cool command blocks. If you lose a command block, type in the chat: /give @p 137 to get a command block. Remember, command blocks cannot be destroyed in survival mode or by explosions. So place them carefully. Command blocks are an optional challenge in the game so you don't have to use them if you don't want to.

Um... Do you use the redstone block to use the command block? The book says there is no coal, so how do i use the ore

You can use a redstone block OR you can use a repeater to activate the command blocks. You can smelt the ore in furnaces using wood. And you can make coal with burnt wood.
