This is the SNIM EMD SD70ACS, operated in Mauritania by the nation's iron ore company. These locomotives have been a part of a train that was ranked as the third-longest train ever in 2021. These locomotives are monsters, carrying with them heavy-duty sand filtration devices to avoid the circuits and electronics from getting gummed up with sand, hence a lot of weird vents sticking out by 2-3 feet, and hexagon-like panels on the guardrail in the rear, acting as a vacuum sucking in sand before it enters the vents. When the filter gets full, a powerful air pulse knocks the sand back down towards the tracks.
