Sorting system for Item Elevator

Great "spin" on the traditional item sorter!
I just found, only a few days ago, that once an item entity is traveling up a glass item elevator, & you switch to opaque blocks, the entities will still continue to travel upwards. Blew my mind then, & you just blew my mind again by incorporating item sorting hopper setups into it, so you can sort items directly out of the item elevator! Freakin amazing man!

   In my situation, I was/am attempting to put a color changing beacon stack on top of the item elevator. That way you won't loose any beacon beams from the opaque blocks needed to insert items into the item elevator. Similar to your use of the packed ice, & fence, item insertion system, except I run it double sided. Inserting items into the elevator from 2 sides at once. Perhaps someday I'll actually finish the darn thing, & be able to share.
