Well, It's been a year since I last touched this project. Went away to the army for 6 months so I stopped working on it and then I forgot about it. The version back then was out of date so I've updated the download file. There's quite a lot that's been added in the updated version. I've built a large portion of the front section, and based on my earlier notes, it had an older cannon design. The ship has TNT cannons that I've now dubbed the "AutoMax" cannons (Previously "HAAFC"). It reloads automatically from a single TNT input, and it has the maximum range I was able to achieve with 3 TNT rows. About 200 blocks.
However, I'm afraid that this may be the last update I make for this. I may finish the interior, but quite frankly, the ship's mostly broken now. A year's worth of updates have taken their toll on this obselete construction. The TNT cannons, for instance, don't work anymore. You can try firing them manually (Though I doubt you'd find the correct redstone line that does this. No button exists as of now to do this) but the only result you'd get is some 100+ TNT blowing up inside the ship. The TNT gets triggered from some redstone lines that it previously wasn't triggered from, and even after figuring out how to fix that, I found out that TNT no longer jumps in one specific direction when ignited like before, but jumps randomly. Causing TNT to get stuck on the 3rd TNT row, blowing up the cannon. I could fix all of this, but it would require a lot of redesigning, would make the cannons bigger (Which I wanted to avoid. It's the reason i stuck with only 3 TNT rows) and quite frankly, I have no interest in fixing that mess.
Additionally there are pistons that are bugged all over the ship. So I'm done with that. It's still a good looking space ship IMHO, and I put a fair amount of detail into the interior design, but most of the functionality is broken. The "Reactor" still works, altough not exactly as intended. But mostly.
To have a look for yourself, just move the "godmode" folder to your minecraft saves folder.
The ship is supposed to be viewed in a texture pack that I've mashed up together. It's based on Misa's HD textures, with some self-made and Tronic textures mixed in. Without it it won't look quite as intended, but it should look fairly good even with normal textures. Just less "spaceagy". The texture pack is included in the .rar. just move the .cyclone.zip to the texture packs folder. You will need the HD patch though, since they are HD textures.
The thing started off with building the "reactor core". The rest was build based on the reactor's size.
To turn it on, you first pull down the "auxiliary power" switch. After that, the "main power" switch. In that order.
Then you just press the middle button, and it has a rod of glowstone rise from the middle of the reactor, has lava pour down from above along with some "cooling" water.
To turn it off, you first pull the "shutdown lock" down, then press the shutdown button. Lava flow ceases, the glowstone goes back to redstone and you momentarily get an increased volume of water.
Additionaly functions including almost all lights inside the ship being togglable, and then you have a set of TNT cannons. Two on each side of the ship, and they are reloaded remotely from a reloading station in the middle. Their range, if they would work, would be about 200 blocks. Reloading takes about 64 TNT per side.
WARNING: The TNT will explode even if you try to use the reloading station. This is due to what is essentially a crosswiring problem. A fairly obvious one at that. Don't know why it wasn't a problem a year ago, but now it is.

Update #6 Cannons no longer fully funtioning! : by royathe 01/18/2013 1:01:27 pmJan 18th, 2013
Updated the world download. Includes the main cannon's power-core, the cafeteria (empty) and the bridge (mostly done).
TNT cannons no longer work. TNT jumping randomly has caused "misfires" with epic chainreactions, and the reloading systems has crosswirings because of some update I suppose, causing even an attempt to reload the cannons to also cause an epic chainreaction. Some of the piston-lamps also no longer work for god knows what reason. Though now we have redstone lamps so I could replace them with those I guess, provided I bother with trying to fix all the issues.
