Everytime I have made a world I've had to edit the gamerules and re-make a spawning system but now that is no longer. Dragnoz made a world called Map in a Box Reboot for Minecraft 1.8 [14w11b] where he basically has a world that allows you to edit gamerules and spawning for the world while Setbling made a Spawnpad that allowed mapmakers to re-direct other players postitions once they spawn. So I thought I'd combine the two. This world allows you to edit spawning by teleporting the player somewhere, setting their spawnpoint and more, and change gamerules literally with the flick of a lever to true and false.
