Spero base

My Submission for the Life on Mars Solo Build Contest:

Spero base is the crowning jewel of the Soviet Unions space technology. Or more accuratley, it was. Built under total secrecy from both the citizens of Russia and the wider world in 1983, the base now stands derelict. It's once mighty structures slowly being reclaimed by the Martian sands. But what of the inhabitants? Official records state that all 12 were tragically killed by an explosion in the launch silo while conducting repairs to the shuttle. But what if official records are not true?

The base is constructed of 3 main buildings:

1. The launch silo, housing the shuttle to travel from the base to the orbiting Precatus Station (not included)
   
2. The residential area, housing the barracks, galley, rec room and bio-dome for culturing food and producing oxygen
   
3. The main operations buulding, housing the flight control room, garage, geothermal generator, storage and command/communication room
   

There are also 3 outlying structures:

1. The wind turbines (Mars does have an atmosphere after all)
   
2. The solar farm
   
3. The drilling rig and drill control room
   

FYI, Spero is latin for Hope while Precatus is Latin for Prayer (it just sounds cool ok)
