Hello! I know I just uploaded a one command creation a couple hours ago, but I recently came across an old machine I had made for 1.8. This machine, if you couldn't tell, allows crops to spread. I'll go into more depth further down the page, but there is included instructions with the machine.

Placing Crops?
I know this sounds weird, but yes, there is a new way of placing crops added within the creation. Whenever you throw an item that can be planted(Excluding netherwarts, saplings, flowers, Chorus fruit, and beetroot) on cultivated land, it automatically plants the plant thrown on the land if there isn't any occupying the land currently.

Enabling Crops:
Any planted crops must be fully grown before they can start spreading. Once a crop is fully grown, throw 1 bonemeal item on the fully grown crop. The bonemeal will be taken and, if you've got particles enabled, green particles will appear near the crop. Note: You cannot get your bonemeal back after enabling the crop's spreading ability.

How does the crop spread?
After waiting 500 seconds(~8 minutes) the crop that can spread will spawn an item of it's type near it. This is why crop items on ground will be auto-planted if there is farmland underneath it.

Can I speed up the process?
You can, but by default it is about every 8 minutes. If you'd like to instantly spawn the crop that has spread, then run this command within 10 blocks of the crop:"/scoreboard players set @e[type=ArmorStand,r=10] Lo50aB 10".

How do I disable crop spreading?
Disabling is easy. Break the crops that can spread and the crop will be disabled. You cannot get your bonemeal returned from doing this.

Commands:
Instant Crop Spread: /scoreboard players set @e[type=ArmorStand,r=10] Lo50aB 10
1.8 Command: http://pastebin.com/7vRinHrd
1.9(16w02a preferred) to 1.10 Command: http://pastebin.com/quqfDS64
1.11: pastebin.com/buZWfKn2

*Because I made this command creation so long ago and used very inefficient command techniques, it will no longer be updated.
