Introducing SS ANDREA DORIA in Minecraft!

This is a 1:1 scale build of the Italian Liner SS Andrea Doria! This build features her First, Cabin, & Tourist Class interiors.

A few things to Note about this build:
1) I recommend you use the Natural Texture Pack for full immersion.
2) I build in 1:1 scale, but building in this scale comes with limitations. Some areas may be distorted or compromised due to scale and sizing when building in 1:1. Compromises have to be made in order to complete the build, so some areas may not actually resemble the actual thing.
3) This build does not feature cabins, engine rooms, or crew member spaces. There is dead space unfortunately, but I try my best to accurately recreate the popular venues onboard. All builds primarily focuses on class accommodations (Lounges, Dining Rooms, etc).


Short history of the SS Andrea Doria
SS Andrea Doria was an ocean liner built by the Ansaldo Shipyards of Genoa, Italy. She had her maiden voyage on January 14, 1953 and was the choice for luxury. She was the pride Italy in the 1950s along with her sister ship SS Cristoforo Colombo. She would only serve for 3 years before her fateful voyage occurred. On July 26, 1956 while on her way to New York, a thick fog engulfed her and the surrounding area. Visibility was poor and the MS Stockholm was also on route to her destination but in the Opposite way. At 11:10pm the MS Stockholm collided with the Andrea Doria and opened a large gash on her starboard side. She was able to last 11 hours before finally slipping beneath the waves. This event made her one of the most infamous sinkings since the Titanic.
