Introducing SS Normandie in Minecraft!

This is a 1:1 scale build of the French Liner SS Normandie! This build features her First, Tourist, & Third Class interiors.

A few things to Note about this build:
1) I recommend you use the Natural Texture Pack for full immersion.
2) I build in 1:1 scale, but building in this scale comes with limitations. Some areas may be distorted or compromised due to scale and sizing when building in 1:1. Compromises have to be made in order to complete the build, so some areas may not actually resemble the actual thing. (This goes for all future builds).
3) This build does not feature cabins, engine rooms, or crew member spaces. There is dead space unfortunately, but I try my best to accurately recreate the popular venues onboard. All builds primarily focuses on class accommodations (Lounges, Dining Rooms, etc).

Short history of the SS Normandie
She was a french ocean liner built for the Compagnie Générale Transatlantique (French Line) in 1931 by Chantiers de Penhoet in Saint-Nazaire, France. She had her maiden voyage on May 29, 1935 and was the largest and fastest passenger ship afloat. She was widely known for being the most luxurious ship during that time. She featured Art Deco and Streamline Moderne Style interiors and had luxurious amenities for all classes onboard. In 1936, Cunard's RMS Queen Mary entered service and was a contemporary rival to the Normandie. Both ships would capture the Blue riband and both competed in size and luxury. Once WWII broke out, Normandie found herself to seek haven in New York. On December 12, 1941, five days after the attack on Pearl Harbor, the USCG removed Captain Lehuédé and his crew and took possession of Normandie under the right of angary. However, the elaborate fire-watch system which ensured that any fire would be suppressed before it became a danger was abandoned. On December 20, 1941 the US Navy took control of the Normandie and had plans to convert her into a troopship. She was renamed USS Lafayette and conversion started. However, on February 9, 1942, sparks from a welding torch used by workman ignited a stack of life vests filled with flammable kapok that had been stored in the first-class lounge. The fire quickly spread but they were unable to contain the spread as the fire suppression system was shut off. As the day went on, water was being sprayed but that barely helped. Over the span of a couple hours she began to list to port, and soon after she capsized on the spot nearly crushing a tug. After the capsize, she sat in her berth on her port sized and was even featured in the 1942 film Saboteur. After some time, scrapping started and her upper superstructure and funnels were removed and she was floated upright. She was sent for scrapping beginning in October 1946 at Port Newark, New Jersey, and completely scrapped by December 31, 1948.
