Welcome to Stranded Mars Survival.This is a custom generated map made to look like the surface of mars. Obviously this is minecraft and is not actuallly mars. This is all vanilla no recoursce pack needed but if you want to use any mods or texture packs go right ahead.
Back Story:
Year 2020, Orion 7, the first manned space shuttle on its way to mars is being flown by you. You report back to mission control that fuel systems are running low and you will have just enough to land. Mission control reports back that in the storage of the lander module there is a storage crate with the needed supplies to survive for a year. It will take more than 3 years to get to you. They wish you the best of luck.You try to report back but as soon as you press down your call button you are grabbed by the gravity of mars. You where too worried about you fuel systems you didn't prepare the module for landing the force rips your recieving antenna off. Now you can only report back to mission control but can not pick up any recieving messages. You climb in your landing module and jetasin of your main rocket. You fly it down to mars safely and report to mission control that you are on mars not knowing if they are picking up your messages.Its is now up to you to survive by using the supplies in your storage.
How to Survive on mars 101:
First thing first is getting a sustaneable farm you have dirt and crops but no watre bucket only water bottles to make a water bucket you need to gather iron make a bucket and a couldron than place all your drinking water in a couldron and pick it up with a bucket.
Second thing is to get mining but with your mining drill setup you found out that mars is all dust and stone. You want materials you need to go out and find metiorites. They are easy to spot becuase they leave a noticable crater.
Third make a mars base to survive the long nights. Mars has 25 minute nights and 25 minute days.

The terrain colour is nice, but one block palette is not enough in my eyes.
