Bespoke built Hunger/Survival Games map built for epic.LAN 26.
Minecraft Version 1.14.4
Every match will have up to 220 random chest locations spawned with random loot throughout the map our varying rarity.
These will be randomised between every match.
To begin the match the button on top of the sea lantern in the waiting area must be pressed.
Once pressed this button can be pressed again to reset the match.
The world border will decrease over time and force remaining players to the centre of the map.
Expected play time is estimated at 40 minutes which includes the 5 min pre-game countdown.
As an added touch and twist to the normal format there is an 11% chance that randomly located 'God Chest' will spawn.
This 'God Chest' contains the strongest weapon and armour in the game. However as a curse to using these the player will be visible to all others which are encouraged to team up against this one person.
The world will cater for up to 36 players and expects one spectator (in creative) to start the map.
The creative player may switch to Adventure mode to Join the game before the countdown finishes.
Please report any bugs or issues found in the map, all mechanics have been tested except the full winner announcement.

The chests content is defined by a datapack, if you're familiar with them you could change that.
I looked into changing how quick the border closes in too, but it was very much to see if it could work.
So the answer to both is that it's possible but not done easily I'm afraid 😥
I would suggest something like https://minecraft.tools/en/loots.php if you'd like to create one from scratch.
The button on the gold block was used for testing.
