The city of Talins. First bastion of the skies, Regal city of clay, city of spires, city of everlasting hope. Now leaderless. Steve had fallen right on the 60 year old leader of the city, crushing him and panicking the entire city.

Eventually, he managed to get someone to explain to him where he was, and what the city was.

Talins was founded in 0210 A.D.C (Alter Dictum Catastrophe), when the first of the refugees from the massive earthquake that shook islands free of the earth began to settle. The first people of talins built solid walls, a keep, and small huts, to protect themselves from wandering sky-raiders and beasts of the air. Eventually, Talins began to expand as a haven for all types of people, and the city gained trade from it's massive clay deposits and the strong, brown wood of their trees. A city was eventually built up around this trade, and most of the city's buildings involve clay and wood. The city, as of late, has begun to expand it's style, however, building several mansions out of the rare quartz stone that has started to flow in from trade.

Steve eventually became leader of the city, and ruled as a dictator for several months, taxing the people to build an immense palace for himself, until eventually he was run out of the city, and back into the portal, by the angry citizens. Where will he end up next?

There are several main buildings in the city.

The Old Keep: The first building actually erected in the city, and first of several fortresses, this small but well-fortified keep used to be surrounded by walls, but has been slowly changed into a monument to the city's steadfastness. It is at the center of the city.

The Blacksmith: Said to be built by an angel, this building is very old as well, yet seems to be very modern in build. Perhaps the angel could see the future of Talins?

The Church: Built in the style of the church of St. Peter in Istanbul, this reminder of the time before the earthquake eventually became the staple of the regal style in which all of Talin's important buildings have been built.

The Market: Constantly buzzing with people, the market is the place where all trade is done in Talins.... legal and illegal.

The Library: The first building built with quartz, this imposing building contains all the cumulated knowledge of both the old and new era that Talins can get its hands on.

The Fortress: In the time when Talins was still occasionally subject to raider attacks, this fortress was built. It has all the fortification of a veritable bastion, with the refinement of a palace included. Until recently it was the residing area of the government. Like the old keep, it's outer walls have been lost to the ever-expanding buildings of the city.

Carlutti's: A brothel and entertainment house, this monolithic, orange tinted building is also home to the city's assassin's guild.

The Palace: The palace is the largest building in Talins at the moment. Made of over two hundred thousand blocks of red clay, fifty thousand stonebricks, and fourty five thousand cobblestone pilings, this massive, beautiful building was built by Steve in his short stay in the city. The palace includes many impressive structural details. The inscription on the front, T.C.P, simply stands for "Talins City Palace" ... obviously Steve has no imagination.

Overall, the city contains 34 individual buildings as of the current time, impressive for a city of the shattered islands.

Hey guys!

This is my entry to the Head into the clouds contest, and boy do I wish I had more time!

The city was build with no voxelsniper, no worldedit, and no help. I did this all by myself in 18 days! (Discovered the contest on the twelfth)

I am not happy with the actual amount of buildings in the city, however I really like the style, so I think I will continue the project and fill up all the islands. Expect something much better within the next 3 months!

Feel free to do a cinematic if you want, just mention me and message me with a link to the video!

World download, and more pictures, will be coming tommorow, what with me having internet problems.

Thank you guys for looking at this , and please diamond and subscribe!

While the download link works, the way it works at the site is you need a MediaFire Pro account to download bulk folders. This needs to be in one file, one zip, so it can be downloaded. Could you fix this?
