Task Force 17 (1942)

*before I am asked about this being a project I already did, I redid 90% of the ships in this TF, so it is only fitting to redo the TF itself.

Task Force 17 was an American World War Two task force centered around the Aircraft carrier Yorktown (CV-5) and cruisers Astoria and Portland.
Under the command of admiral Frank J. Fletcher, TF17 won the key battle of The Coral Sea, where IJN Carriers Shokaku and Zuikaku were damaged enough to cause them to be unable to participate in the Battle of Midway in June.

At Midway, Task Force 17 combined with Task Force 16 (Enterprise and Hornet) to combat the 4 IJN carriers and their escorts.
The 4 IJN carriers were sunk and a Heavy cruiser, while american losses were minimal. However, one of the losses was the aircraft carrier Yorktown (CV-5).
