The Antaris Gate

The Antaris Gate is my first project on the Mithrintia server and is my tribute to them for welcoming me to the academy. I will be working with their own custom textures which I have found to be amazing for creative building.

Long ago an ancient race of man lived here the Solarians. A hearty race with imaginitive minds and a strong concept of engineering. These primitive humans were masters of the earth they lived upon. They commanded the ground with the sweat on their backs and hands, from which they produced the rarest more precious metals in the universe. They mastered the seas that dominate their world, with the wind an stars, navigating to the farthest reaches of the Great Blue. They were a race of dreamers, and explorers who saw beyond their horizons. They believed the stars were there to be touched though they could not reach them. Despite many great qualities, they were not without strife. Within their broad culture a divergence emerged, a pattern that may have always been there but was not so defined. Their society began to split between those who would harmonize and those who would exploit. A radical way of thinking that spread like a wildfire igniting hostilities against one another.
Thus began the Age of Strife. A period of time when the divergence was complete and both sides saw the other as a mortal enemy to be annihilated. A terrible amount of blood was spilled in this grim cause. The divergence was not a battle line you could draw on a map, Its cut was made in the hearts every person. Communities were in turmoil as rioting mobs battled eachother in the streets, families were destroyed by bloody feud. It seemed as if the Solarians were a cursed species doomed to devour themselves. This continued on until a point when it seemed like the darkest hour was upon them, and the race stood at the point of extinction when they were delivered from this fate, by foreign hands. It is not known how many Solarians survived the Age of Strife, Symbolic carvings have shown two people holding hands but that is to be determined if it is two communities, two families, or just two sole-survivors. It is noted many times over in symbolic carvings found in nearly every major piece of architecture built after the Age of Strife. That the Solarians came to be ruled over by another race, a supreme race, though few in number they possessed weapons and technology of tremendous power which allowed them to rule over the primitive race like gods. The Antarians, named by the Solarians for the origin star being a well known guide star Antares, used by sailors of the Great Blue for generations.
It was known and recorded by the Solarians, that they were a highly intelligent and charismatic race that despite their tremendous power, guided the misfortunate race with open arms, instead of force of arms. It is known that the Antarians descended down to them in their hour of need and were worshiped as gods, And that they have no spoken language. However what was not recorded by the Solarians and is assumed not known is that the star Antares is a guide star for their saviors as well, and their origin star lies far beyond.
Under the direct guidance and teachings of the Antarians, A great city and temple was constructed. A grand metropolis that for awile was a beacon to all as a central hub of society. Many relics of this ancient age can be found within the ruins we find today, and many of them still resonate with ancient energies. Nothing is known of the fates of these two races. The city was abandoned for unknown reasons and its occupants and its rulers left without a trace. There must be some archaeological evidence buried within the complex that can shed some light on this mystery.
