The Cube

The Cube is a survival map in which the main goal is to kill the Ender Dragon and beat the game.

This task is made significantly more difficult by the fact that you spawn on top of a narrow mountain in the middle of a huge cavernous cave, complete with countless stalactites, stalagmites, and pools of water and lava. There are no trees in sight.

There are books near spawn with additional information, as well as some books with hints on how to accomplish various tasks such as collecting wood or reaching the end.

The world border is set at 1024x1024, as this is the size of The Cube.

Although it is primarily a survival map, the world may be perfect for your underground cave builds, or a cool server hub, or frankly whatever you want.

If you would like a bit of an easier challenge, consider changing your gamma value in the options document of your .minecraft folder

Given the size of the map, at over one million blocks square, the file, even compressed, exceeds the 15MB that planetminecraft permits to be uploaded, so I have used Dropbox to allow you all to enjoy this map. Simply open the below link and press the download button on the top right or on the right sidebar. Extract the files and place them in your minecraft saves folder to play the map.


I created this map in part using the tool WorldPainter. The map was made in vanilla version 1.12.
