THE DEAD DAYS









The Dead Days as of Pre-Alpha Demo V0.0.8.9 takes place in Rienfield (Rain-field) County. Its about a month in to the apocalypse and the government has little control. The Dead Days is ment to be a very realistic zombie apocalypse scenario. You can play as a variety of characters. Some are better and some are worse, some have very challenging beginnings, and others get off to a good start. You choose your character and then fight through horde after horde in your goal to survive as long as you can (bet you cant last a minecraft year). As off Pre-Aplha Demo V0.0.8.9 you can go around 95% of the rural area. Even though its not all that i plan to add it covers quite a few chunks and currently i am working on the city(55% complete).The entire map is 74x64 chunks, or 4736 chunks. I also have included a custom resource pack for the map so it feels more like a apocalypse.
You play as the character you choose intill you die (NO RESETING SPAWN!!! You MUST SPAWN IN THE SPAWN ROOM!!!) when your character dies, it will no longer be playable and you will have to choose another. If you lose all your characters then you can basicly say: The zombies have destroyed earth, and no humans remian (or You lose). If that happens, then re-install the map and play again! if you want of course.












UPDATING









Every minecraft update i'll try to add something to The Dead Days, if i dont then that means something big is coming and i couldn't get it out in time. Expect many updatse because its only in Pre-Alpha (Its still very playble) Later updates will include more characters, more things, more redstone, more weapons, a texture pack, and more countys.











Finally a Custom Texture Pack!









GOALS









Contains a list of 30 Goals in The Dead Days Folder.









RULES









  • No escaping the map.
  • No beds (They ruin the spawn point)
  • No reseting spawn point unless moving it back to the spawn room. (Make sure to set your spawn point when you load up the world, you dont want to end up spawning infront of a zombie horde)
  • This is mainly a sandbox world so there arent many more besides have fun.
  • No changing gamemode
  • Remain on Hard at all times
  • Use the English US if at all possible when playing, I renamed items for the map.
  • Enjoy and reporrt/ suggest anything you find that you feel needs to be reported/suggested









MULTIPLAYER









IF you want to play multiplayer (And believe me, you'll want to) just make sure to tp the other player(s) to the spawn room before they die, and then have them set there spawn.Make sure theres only one person clicking buttons at a time. If you make a public server, i would love to see it.

Disclaimer:The City is very big, and has been a real challenge to work on, you will find some buildings that have no loot what-so-ever in them or even stuff in the rooms. These are only a few buildings however.

i love the concept you got going there, very realistic and unique. a rogue-like adventure map: didnt think i'd see that in Minecraft :)
