The Dragon Chapel

long after the creature died, people discovered that its remains were too enormous to bury and too sacred to destroy.

So they built a chapel around it.

The dragon’s skull now forms the entrance, its horns curve around the cathedral like a crown, and its ancient bones have become part of the architecture itself.

During the day, the chapel rises above the surrounding forest like a forgotten monument. At night, its silhouette almost disappears into the mountain, as though the dragon is still sleeping beneath the stars.

I wanted this build to feel like more than a normal fantasy cathedral.

The goal was to create something ancient, intimidating, and immediately readable from a distance. The dragon had to feel inseparable from the structure, not like a statue placed in front of a building, but like the entire chapel had grown from its remains.

The design combines a colossal dragon skull, sweeping horns, gothic towers, a large circular window, pale weathered stone, and patches of moss that make the structure feel as though it has stood here for centuries.

This is the unfinished Dragon Chapel.
