Helgrind = Hell gate.
Hǫfn = Harbor
Sæla = Happiness (Name of the capital city)
Hǫfn Borg = Harbor/Port Village
Skaut = Border
The Fjǫllóttr Staðfesta (Mountainous Homestead) is a Nordic mountain region, currently still a wip! All the clearings on the map will filled with Nordic-style villages. This is my first Nordic build, so any advice would be greatly appreciated!

For those of you who've already seen this project and notice it's different. I was going to do some editing (making the transition of the deep snow to the stone less butch, thicker forests, etc.) but one thing led to another and I ended up taking the world painter brushes I used on the previous map and edited them to make them more realistic as well as steep and "pointy" to feel more Nordic and hazardous. The map is built the same way, with the (edited) brushes, and is lesser in size to make it more controllable and more detailed.

a thing you should note for the buildings is that is very important about nord houses not to over-do the sticky out bits on the roof

Yea, normal ill mix in a "snow on rock" layer between the snow and the lower layers, but by the time I realized I forgot to I'd already spent hours getting the 126mb(zipped) map on my server and ran out of time to fix it and already posted :P thanks for pointing it out and so now I just needs to get home and fix it :P and the so for the diamond! I'll also gladly look at your projects
