Do you want loot? Do you want a challenge? Do you want a challenge for loot? Then this map is for you!
The Gauntlet is a cooperative game where you defeat stages of bosses to earn better, unique loot, and move on to more bosses. Currently, the map features 4 stages of 4 bosses, with the Ender Dragon awaiting you at the end. Each boss is in a unique arena, and upon defeat a single item is awarded. Just about every item is named, lore included, with various enchantments. Need common loot, such as arrows? Farm waves of skeletons, zombies, spiders, or even creepers if you're into that.
BE PREPARED TO FARM BOSSES! If you've played borderlands then you are familiar with this concept. Harder bosses dish out higher quality stuff, but you may have to fight them a few times to get some useful equipment.
"What happens if I die?" Oh you will die, lots of times. No worries though, players keep inventory upon death, and you can get back in the fight! Most bosses regenerate health however, so either give up on that boss or get in the arena fast. You will most likely have to farm the first 4 bosses a few times before moving on to the next stage, and you will definitely need some of the best gear to beat the Final Four. Oh, and each member of the Final Four has a 1/9 chance to drop an eye of ender, and one is required from each boss in the Final Four to open the end portal to fight the Ender Dragon, so good luck with that.
The map supports 4 players, as any more than that may be too easy. Feel free to play by yourself as well for a real challenge.

PvP arena added! Players should be added to a noPvP team when not in the arena to avoid friendly fire. A challenge to ear lapis lazuli is in the making.
