The images shown are only general overviews of each area, for the full effect of this project, download the map file :)
(labelled map and key coming soon)
Okay, so the third world I made in Minecraft was a little gem entitled 'Iagonia the III' it began with an overly large tree in which one could find a small community, upon completing this, I called it the great tree area and explored the map, finding two villages that I would later alter and rename to be Oku and Gaipu. In this exploration, I found a pleasant area in the mountain biome that would become the mountain fort Yrial.
by the time I got to and finished the fort, my level of skill had increased, making me heavily dislike the map completely, so I abandoned it.
About six months later I dug up the old file, burned down The Great Tree, started rebuilding it and gave the whole map a revamp/expansion this is an account of my progress so far.
This map is ENTIRELY hand built, this is the main thing I decided upon starting, it is a labour of love :) it also feels more like an actual Minecraft build to me, sure the maps made using terraforming and such are really quite beautiful, but they aren't Minecraft maps... (in my opinion anyway)
for those interested, this is the map before I began work on it :)

(this copy somehow managed to avoid being thrown into a perpetual winter)
Note: The media is not accurate to the latest map version and will soon be updated :)

if you like, I can get the original file to you so you can compare ;)
also, follow the river by the great tree north, you'll find it at the end of that, alternatively follow the path north from Oku and then take the path East just before you hit Gaipu :)
Thanks :)
