The Land Down Under
This is my attempt at making Australia, the Land Down Under. In my opinion, it is a country/island/continent that I could, unfortunately, not find a lot of on Planet Minecraft. So, I decided to make my own. You spawn in front of a chest that has a signed book tour guide of Australia. It is complete with teleport coordinates and information about locations in Australia.
However, I could not have done all of this without this tool:
World Painter.
World Painter is a handy tool that lets you create basically anything you want in Minecraft by letting you sculpt and bend the landscape to your will. To make Australia, I looked at an image of Australia, then outlined and filled in a rough sketch. Then, I put a semi-transparent image over to correct some small errors and make it look more realistic. Then, I painted different surface types over that, and finally fixed the elevation so it simulated Australia the best that Minecraft can.

Also, I apologize for the lack of photos (and also the bad quality of my screenshots). This map was made in Minecraft version 1.14.2, and thus, I did not have Optifine, and therefore shaders, available. Furthermore, Java is not working at all on my current computer, and so I cannot launch Chunky (for those of you who don't know, Chunky is a Minecraft rendering software).
Anyway, I hope you all enjoy viewing this map as much as I did making it!
