This is my largest project to date: A single player world that I hope to launch as a single player (or Let's Play) adventure.

Features will include:

8 Major cities all with differing themes, histories, challenges, and kings
Hundreds of blocks worth of travel and adventure
A deep, thoroughly thought out lore
A storyline mystery that will seek to undo god-like beings!

Story: The Land of Finfreal is a large, prosperous land made up of Eight different Kings, each ruling their own Kingdom. The land has had an (mostly) enduring peace for a little over a hundred years. Each King respects his fellow Kings and any conflicts are resolved by the Alliance of the Eight Kingdoms long before war is an option. However, it is in the midst of this peace that the great calamity known as "The Seeding" takes place over the period known as The Dark in which the night lasts for six days over the land. When the sun rose on the sixth day, the people of Finfreal watched it rise to reveal a great "Growth" taking place, choking off waterways and devouring cities. With the Kingdoms in panic, each Kings sets out to recontact the other other kingdoms through this Growth, and to attempt to root out its cause.

Existing Kingdoms:

Sea's Folly (80% Complete): A harbor-castle-town ruled and founded by Finfreal's most wealthy merchant, Kamith. Newest Kingdom to the now Eight Kingdoms, Sea's Folly was brought into the Seven Kingdoms nearly 40 years ago when it's present king, Kamith declared his harbor town of Goldgarden an independent Kingdom apart from the Seven Kingdoms. In response to Kamith's rebellion, the Kings of the Seven Kingdoms gathered together and marched their first war in over 90 years. The alliance's army numbered in the tens of thousands and was made up of the strongest of each Kingdom. Even though the Alliance did not expect much in the way of resistance of Goldgarden, no knight or warrior wanted to miss out on the first war in close to a hundred years. However, when the alliance spotted the Lighthouse of Goldgarden in the distance, they found Kamith's own war host seven times the size of the their own. When the Kings of the alliance marched out to negotiate terms with Kamith, he told them: "My fellow kings, as you knew before you marched, I have little in the way of knights and warriors. I find I need little protecting when any man, woman, or child would gladly risk their life for a chance to reach into my pockets. So this grand host you see at my walls, I purchased them all. Thieves, pirates, savages, peasants, sellswords; you name the type and I assure you they are beneath my walls with weapons in hand. Though you should know, I paid each man more than they would ever otherwise see in their lifetime for their service for a single day. So come at me this day, and walk away in defeat." At that, the Kings of the alliance laughed and mocked him for his folly. Stating that they would just hold off their siege for a day, and when he was broke and defenseless, they would cut him down where he sat on his mock throne. At these insults, Kamith said only this: "it is true, I am only a man of the sea, and I have committed a great folly indeed. But before you truly insult me by calling me broke, you should know that with all these men paid for their service in a single day, it has truly only cost me a bit of lint from my pocket." With that he rode away back into his gates, leaving the Kings of the Alliance to wonder if he was bluffing. The next day under the walls of Goldgarden, the Seven Kings of the Seven Kingdoms allowed Kamith to rule his own kingdom, only if it became the Eighth Kingdom and entered the alliance with the other seven. Kamith agreed and declared his town of Goldgarden no more; that as part of the Eight Kingdoms, his Kingdom shall be known as Sea's Folly, for all shall know of his folly and none would ever call him on a bluff.

Ja Re, the Close but Far (10% complete): Ja Re is Finfreal's largest known, thriving desert Kingdom. Bordering the Great River known as the Slipstream, Ja Re is a prosperous Kingdom at the edge of a desert that is cruel and desolate. Its people are hard, and its warriors are resolute and unflinching. While Ja Re is part of the peace of the Eight Kingdoms, it and the Kingdom of The Cairn which resides on the opposite side of the slipstream are at constant war unbeknownst to the other six kingdoms. The slipstream provides life where there is little between the Edge Desert in which Ja Re resides, and the naked mountains The Cairn is chiseled from.

Planned Kingdoms:

The Cairn: A small but strong kingdom carved into the mountains.

Bulwark: Largest and strongest Kingdom of the Eight. Located on Rolling Plains past the Shield Mountains.

Treeforge, the Hidden: A Hidden, forested Kingdom, thought to have disappeared in the calamity known as The Growth.

Three more unnamed Cities. >_>

Additional Notes

Before anyone says anything about it, while I do take a lot of inspiration from A Game of Thrones, any resemblance of the Seven Kingdoms (as I call eight) was unintentional and I literally just realized it. Will think about renaming them something other than kingdoms i suppose. :P
