So I never actually built anything serious in the nether. I just suddenly got a urge to build something evil and the first thing I could come up with was a floating Structure within the nether.

I also have this Idea of making this into a cool adventure map, where you spawn in the nether and have to make your way to this evil thing and board it somehow. once there you enter a nether portal to get "inside" the ship. I would create the exit of the portal into a huge version of the ships interior with tons of traps and puzzles. Or just build a kickass "dungeon" or "stronghold" whith tons of monsters and great treasure.

Anyway there isn't to much to say, only took me about two hours.
