The Pālaivaṉam

The PÄ laivaá¹ am is a family owned vessel that has been maintained from generation to generation, a father will teach his son how to tend and maintain the steamcore and the boiler room, while the mother will teach her daughters how to know when to tack the sails and when to unravel the mainsail. The daughters will have to learn how ride the warm desert updrafts, and a son will have to learn how to keep the boiler and steamcore at flight temperature on the freezing desert night.

PÄ laivaá¹ am is mainly a bird hunting ship and, helped by the smaller and more agile Paá¹ avai(the smaller ships in the pictures) they carry out their profession with skill and have caught some of the largest Rocs(look it up) in the sky. they use a mixture of brute force and precision weapons such as arrows, spears and crossbows.
