About the Map
Hey Guys! C1TRUS here and I've decided that I'm going to create my own adventure map, due to the low amount of Adventure Maps that are currently being released with such low standards, no love for the environment and a very linear and easy to progress story. What I've done is generated a flatworld with 2 layers of still water, a layer of dirt, 64 layers of air underneath and a layer of bedrock at the bottom. I've began to build 15 blocks above the water level and this map is still in very early development as I started this project 06/11/2013. This map really only just got started and is only about 1% finished at this stage.
I aim for this map to have a very rich story, side-quests, memorable areas and people and a deep lore behind the world. I will be trying to implement a deeper level of NPC interaction than I've seen in other Adventure Maps. This project will a be terraforming project as I will be designing ALL of the landscape by hand during early development without the use of MCEdit to ensure that no corners are cut during this period.
Future plans include
- Stat Progression / Skill Tree (recommended by TheSandPaladin)
- Fast Travel between major areas
- Having an invincible dog, but will have stats lowered to compensate for it's immortality.
- "Your suggestion here" (All Suggestions Welcome)
Suggestions, Testers and Terraformers/Landscapers
If you have any suggestions on where you'd like this to go feel free to leave a comment down below. See you all next time!
P.S. I may also be looking for some testers in the near future to give me a run down of how they feel they game run, but this may be months away until at least the first Quest/Mission is implemented into the game.
P.P.S I'm definitely going to be needing some landscapers for this map, so if you want to put your name down in the comments saying you would like to terraform the map, then we can get in contact and see what we can do.
NOTE: All Current project designs and details may be prone to change in the future, fr improvement of the overall map experience. NOTHING IS YET FINAL. Suggestions and ideas for ways of improvement of areas of the map are welcome.

10 Update Logs
Story Update! : by C1TRUSMC 03/26/2014 6:55:15 amMar 26th, 2014
So here is just a quick little update on the story. I'm thinking of leaving the end open to other plots, at this point in time, but this may change depending on the process and success of this initial map. I want to have the story told without needing to go down a linear path to reach the goal, and depending if I could find a way to work it, I would think about having multiple endings.
But I have yet to get that far.

Worldpainter, voxelsniper and worldedit?
These three are the tools I'mfamiliar with, but I used voxelsniper the most.
My building skillsare ok. But I can't code command blocks!
I still don't know if I want to be a part of this because you're pics are not that convincing :(
(I know it's 0.01% done)
Will we be using a texture pack for this adventure?
And how on Earth would you make a skill tree? I'd like to know that.
I'm planning on the map taking a while to develop, because a lot of Adventure Maps I've played in the past have not really been the most enthralling to play. Usually they have a very linear story and quest line, no relations between character, landscapes seem really rushed and there is always a monument that looks fantastic, but always sticks out because it's had so much effort put into it, but the rest of the map hasn't. SO you could say I want to make this map because I currently hate a lot of the maps that are out there :P So I do plan on it taking a while to build from scratch.
Starting with a blank template is far easier than being generated a random plot of land that you have to destroy and rebuild they way you want it and there is no control over how the biomes are generated and that is far to unpredictable in my opinion, easier to start blank so I can just start making the landscape exactly how I want it.
The skill tree, now I only have idea, not sure if it will work, but I was planning on having a Hub that the player goes to and selects which skill they would like to improve by trading in lvl's. The skills would probably be potion effects that last forever and get upgraded each time the skill is improved. So say I want to move faster, I click that button and I get and low lvl, infinitely lasting potion of swiftness, then the next level is an infinitely lasting medium strength potion of swiftness... Do you understand?
