The Underlands were originally constructed years ago in a distant realm on account of staying safe from monsters and because underground cities. The city consisted of two small districts, one containing all of the houses and the other housing all of the retail and the entryway to the mine. It was all painstakingly dug out by hand. The mines proved to be the most lucrative anyone had seen on the server, and began a flow of new people moving into the city. Eventually it fell out of disrepair as the mines dried up, and people moved on to other realms.
The second version had been built on a one of those distant realms. It contained a vast, working sewer system, three districts, and a smaller variant with a railway out there. and the whole thing had also been dug up by teams of miners. It consisted of three districts: the commercial district, the central hub, and a two sprawling residential districts. It sparked a flow of new players moving down, and the mines didn't dry up. The retail was a massive success, and the markets sold vast amounts of anything. The city was eventually lost to an earthquake. Disease and poverty followed as players left, and eventually it fell into disrepair.
After leaving and traveling out to sea to find new realms, the founders came across a better spot, father away from harm. Due to lack of workers, it only developed a residential district and a commercial district before falling out of care.
Almost two hundred years later, in the mid 1400's, while digging, a group of miners stumbled across something groundbreaking.
(see what I did there? heh, ground breaking, miners.. heheh)
Please, pardon my dust.
