Yep, I haven't completely abandoned huge neoclassical structures! Here's what I believe to be the most accurate recreation of the United States Capitol Building in Minecraft, located in Washington D.C.
This project is currently being hosted on a private server. Once the server becomes public I will update instructions on how to find it.
Surprisingly this build only took two weeks to complete the exterior, much less time than the White House. Built in 2:1, this project spans over 475 blocks in width, 181 blocks in length and 201 blocks in height. The recreation covers this area highlighted on Google Maps below:
The expansion of the Capitol grounds in this project is purely dependent on if we continue with the Washington D.C. recreation. Slowly, across D.C., buildings are being created in 2:1. It is likely that one day we will continue this project. We just need a road builder!
