Thornabar is an old dwarven mine entrance building at the edge of the western Misty Mountain foothills, east of the Angle in the Lone-lands of Middle-earth. It was reclaimed and renovated by the Dúnedain of the Angle in SR 1403, to secure increased resource access for their structurally enhanced build efforts in the Angle and near old strategic sites in Eriador.

This build is created in survival. The lore is custom.

Main building is complete and furnished. A perimeter wall, a wooden palisade, with battlement walkways, guard towers and a gate form its main defences.

The Ranger camp within the palisade has been expanded with a combined stables and barracks building and a well has been established fed from an aquifier found near the mine entrance. Chestnut trees and berry bushes planted within the confined area are a first means of locally produced enrichment of the diet of old bread from Thormar and fish and fresh game obtained in creeks and woodlands nearby. The latest addition is a chicken pen, entirely constructed of willow wood and reed gathered around nearby creeks.

The camp on the central court is a procedurally generated camp from the LOTRmod. That ensures there are Rangers of the North present: 12 rangers + a ranger captain.

The server support purchasing of spawn eggs to populate builds and this option will be used to add a Dúnedain blacksmith and some villagers to the structure.

The structure and its surrounding chunks are banner protected (LOTRmod feature) to ensure no enemy NPCs or invasions spawn randomly in the area. As the surrounding lands are highly contested, invasions occur quite often and both Rhudaur HIllmen and orcs of Angmar and the Misty Mountains can be encountered within close range of the settlement.

The build and the surrounding area will be used as a battle / siege event venue on the server with use of the SiegeMode mod.
