TNK has wondered, "how close could we get toward the sruface of a sun with a crew on board and not die?" Well the answer is about 0m for about 1 minute,or safely at about 300m away, with TNK's prototype Sun Research Vessel, only for available to USC.
A lot of problems arose when trying to figure out how we could get so close to the surface of suns, such as:
RADIATION
GRAVITY
HIGH AMOUNTS OF ENERGY
LIGHT
EXTREME TEMPERATURE DIFFERENCES
To over come these problems, TNK has developed many new technologies for this vessel.
-High Powered Front thrusters for overcoming intense gravity, with specialized auto-pilot to deal with any gravity fluxtuations
-A thick, Dense, Specialized Hull meant to deal with most of the Radiation and Temperature differences between the interior and exterior of the ship
-A very specialized viewing port (ONLY TO BE USED at a range no less than 10,000 Km from the star)
-Specialized Energy Sheilding and high energy dissapators meant for dealing with any of the problems that the physical parts of the ship don't manage to block out.
